CONSENT STATEMENT DIODE LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Consent form for diode laser hair removal

1- Personal information:

2. Description of Diode Laser Hair Removal:

Diode laser hair removal is a state-of-the-art method for the permanent reduction of unwanted hair. The laser emits high-intensity light pulses that penetrate deep into the hair follicles. The energy is absorbed by the melanin in the hair and converted into heat, which destroys the hair root without damaging the surrounding tissue.

This technology is particularly safe and effective, targeting active hair growth phases. Since not all hair grows at the same time, multiple treatments are required to achieve optimal results.

3. Health Condition and Medication Use:

For your safety, it is important to answer the following questions truthfully:

4. Before the Treatment:

- Avoid any sun exposure, including tanning beds and self-tanners, for at least two weeks prior to the treatment.

- Shave the treatment area one day before your appointment (do not wax, pluck, or epilate).

- Inform your technician if you are using any new skincare products or medications.

- On the day of the treatment, your skin should be clean and free from lotions, creams, or makeup.

5. After the Treatment:

- Avoid direct sun exposure on the treated area for at least two weeks. Use a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.

- Avoid hot showers, saunas, and physically strenuous activities for 24 to 48 hours.

- Refrain from using aggressive skincare products (e.g., peels, retinol) and focus on gentle skin care.

- It is normal for treated hairs to shed in the weeks following the treatment. Support this process with gentle exfoliation.

- Avoid waxing or plucking during the entire treatment period. Shaving is permitted.

- Follow the recommended treatment plan to achieve optimal results.

6. Nutrition and General Care:

- Maintain a balanced diet and stay hydrated to support skin regeneration.

- Inform your technician if there are any changes to your health or medication usage between sessions.

7. Possible Risks and Side Effects of the Treatment:

- Skin Irritations: Redness, swelling, or mild pain in the treated area may occur.

- Pigmentation Changes: Rarely, hyperpigmentation (dark spots) or hypopigmentation (light spots) may occur.

- Blisters or Scabs: The heat from the laser can, in very rare cases, cause blisters or scabbing.

- Burns: Improper application or sensitive skin may lead to mild burns.

- Hair Growth Stimulation: In rare cases, hair growth may be stimulated (paradoxical hypertrichosis).

- Allergic Reactions: Reactions to the gel or skin cooling methods used are possible.

- Insufficient Results: Hair removal results may vary depending on skin and hair type and may not guarantee complete hair removal.

8. Distance Between Treatments:

- Four to Five Weeks: The first four treatments should be spaced four to five weeks apart, as hair growth is faster during this phase.

- Six to Eight Weeks: After the first four treatments, the interval can be extended to six to eight weeks as hair growth slows down.

- Eight to Ten Weeks: After approximately seven to eight treatments, intervals can be extended to eight to ten weeks, depending on individual hair growth.

- Adjustment Based on Hair Growth: The interval between treatments should always be adjusted individually to the hair growth pattern to ensure optimal results.

We place great importance on ensuring our services are as efficient and pleasant as possible for all customers. Therefore, we kindly ask you to arrive on time for your appointment.

Important customer information

Please read before your diode laser hair removal treatment:

Thank you for choosing diode laser hair removal with us. To ensure you get the best possible benefit and optimal safety from your treatment, we ask you to read and follow the following information carefully:

Before the diode laser hair removal treatment:

1. Consultation: Your journey often begins with a consultation to clarify your personal needs and questions. At this opportunity, please share your medical history, medications you take, and special skin care products. Strive to be open and honest so that your technician can best help you.

2. Avoid sun exposure: Please avoid any sun exposure for at least two weeks before your treatment. This includes tanning beds, sunbathing or self-tanning products. Diode laser hair removal achieves the best results on untanned skin.

3. Shave the area: One day before your appointment, it is necessary to shave the area to be treated. Shaving ensures that the laser energy effectively targets the hair follicles.

4. Avoid waxing or plucking: Please do not wax, pluck or use hair removal creams on the area to be treated at least four weeks before your appointment. The hair roots should be intact to achieve the best effect of the laser.

5. Clean skin: On the day of treatment, the skin should be clean and free of lotions, creams or make-up.

6. Remove jewelry: Before your treatment, please remove any jewelry or accessories in the area to be treated.

After the diode laser hair removal treatment:

1. Sun Protection: Please continue to avoid any sun exposure for at least two weeks after treatment. If you must be outdoors, wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30 or higher on the treated area.

2. Avoid hot baths and saunas: Avoid hot baths, saunas, or activities that may cause excessive sweating for 24 to 48 hours after treatment. Cool showers are recommended.

3. Avoid irritants: In the week following the treatment, you should avoid using aggressive skin care products or peelings on the treated area.

4. Hair loss: It is normal to experience hair loss in the weeks following treatment as the treated hairs are pushed out of the follicles. You may consider exfoliating to aid in this process.

5. No plucking or waxing: During your treatment sessions and in the weeks following, avoid plucking or waxing the treated area. Shaving is allowed as it preserves the hair root.

6. Attend all sessions: Laser hair removal typically requires multiple sessions for best results. Attend all scheduled sessions as recommended by your technician for best results.

7. Moisturize: Use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated and minimize redness or irritation.

8. Stay connected: If you experience any unusual side effects or have any questions, do not hesitate to contact your technician. He or she can provide further assistance.
